Bloody windows, now my monitor is locked thinking its DVI is asleep and wont work, only in VGA mode. Ok so its not actually a WIndows 7 error, either graphics driver or monitor.
So my monitor will now only work in VGA analog and not DVI digital, as it wont even recongnise the monitor on DVI and its a standard non PNP in analog cos the edid is corrupt and it thinks the DVI is sleeping. Monitor cost me enough and its less than 2 bleeding years old, sent the last one back with exactly the same
problem and was told this one didnt have the same factory fault.
Any ideas anyone, Ive tried the usual, plug analogue/DVI together shut down pull power out of monitor of a few mins reboot - same. Deleted graphics driver reinstalled - same. Why cant they create a system that bleeding well works where your computer can talk to your monitor for updates reconfigure etc - not like its asking the impossible? Or why not have a monitor button that does a factory settings reset?
